GCT Bayonne | Bayonne, New Jersey
Strategically located outside the Bayonne Bridge, semi-automated GCT Bayonne is the most efficient terminal in the port of New York and New Jersey, situated in Bayonne, NJ. Designed to the largest vessels operating on its tradelane, it is the closest container terminal to the harbour entrance, reducing transit time by more than four hours. At 67.6 hectares (167 acres) with a 823-metre (2,700-foot) berth, the terminal allows for unencumbered vessel approaches and reduces transit times by two hours and features the fastest truck turn times in the port of New York and New Jersey.
An award-winning expansion in 2014 introduced modern equipment and a safer, more fluid design, making GCT Bayonne once of the most advanced facilities in North America. Leveraging the design, technology, and process improvements from its berth and landside modernization, the facility’s yard and gate complex was further upgraded, enabling GCT Bayonne to become the first terminal to introduce a comprehensive truck appointment system on the East Coast in 2017, drastically improving cargo-handling speed as well as smoothing traffic and reducing emissions as featured by the US EPA. In 2019, GCT Bayonne ExpressRail Port Jersey began operations, enhancing service levels even further with fast, seamless connections to inland destinations across North America. GCT New York | Staten Island, New York
GCT New York is a full-service, customer-focused container terminal, consistently delivering the fastest truck processing times and highest crane productivity in the harbour. Strategically located on Staten Island near the Goethals Bridge, the terminal occupies 58 hectares (187 acres) of upland area. Featuring seamless on-dock rail service, the terminal is readily accessible to major truck routes and is the only facility in the harbour with an on-dock Centralized Examination Station and a 6,169-square metre (66,400-square foot) refrigerated warehouse. In collaboration with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, GCT USA established the toll reimbursement program and a new overweight corridor route, providing cost-certainty for our customers, beneficial cargo owners, and the drayage community. Efficient and ready accessibility to major truck routes and on-dock rail seamlessly connect the terminal to neighbouring distribution centres and the North American road and rail network. Renowned for its safety efforts, GCT New York has earned both Gold and Silver helmet awards from the New York Shipping Association and been honored with the Bi-State Truck Award for Best Terminal Operator multiple times.
GCT Vanterm | Vancouver, British Columbia
Strategically located in the inner harbour, GCT Vanterm, part of GCT Canada, operates in naturally occurring deep water and is among the most productive terminals in North America. It is a 31-hectare (76-acre) container terminal with 619 metres (2,030 feet) of berth, offering six high-speed, super post-Panamax dock gantries, a modern fleet of container handling equipment, and an on-dock intermodal rail yard with nine tracks totaling 2,926 metres (9,600 feet).
